Supporting our own environment to improve its quality is the aim of this program. You can save a child (Plan UK), support a Homeless (Simon Community), Water care (Water Aid) assist an homeless animal (Blue Cross) or adopt a tree (London Royals Parks). Does Vertice make donations itself? Yes we do (Yearly). In fact, that’s the main reason this program have born. We have been making donation and the idea of expanding the circle came up and now we are also inviting you that are our client (and you that is not our client yet) to be part in this great journey. Join us, make a donation today and help building a better environment.
Sick, injured and homeless pets have relied on us since 1897. Thousands of abandoned or unwanted, ill or injured, pets turn to us for help every year. Our doors are always open to them, and with your support, they always will be.
We find homes for unwanted cats, dogs, small pets and horses across the UK and our tailor made service means they help each pet find the right person for them. Many pets are currently waiting for new homes and are waiting for your help.

Our work can be divided into two categories. First, the core activities we undertake, promoting the cyclical tree year programme and supporting our volunteer Tree Wardens, bringing our member organisations together to enhance mutual understanding and raising and giving away grant money for tree planting. Find out more about this work in the ‘Take Part’ section of our website.
Second, responding to changing times: some direct support for practical action, but also work that needs to be done to improve the operating environment and drive trees up the agenda of decision makers on the local, regional and national stage.
Here, you can find information about the second of these work groups. We spearhead campaigns that have been developed in collaboration with our member organisations to seek and make change, to improve specific aspects of the care and understanding of trees, to gather evidence in support of action. All of them rely on the engagement of others to carry our message as far afield as we can reach. The more we can do together, the better for trees and people everywhere.
Happy Child rescues children and adolescents from the streets and from situations of personal and social risk in the large Southern city of Belo Horizonte and the Northeastern city of Recifeon the Atlantic coast of Brazil. Founded in 1993, Happy Child is regarded as one of the leading and most experienced Christian charities in Brazil working with these children. In Belo Horizonte there is a 24-hour emergency centre, eight safe homes and an eco project, all of which provide a secure environment for their rehabilitation and reintegration back into family and community. The Belo Horizonte operations are now fully self-funded from within Brazil. Happy Child UK is now helping to replicate this model in Recife, Northeast Brazil, in partnership with local government, churches and businesses.

Essentially, volunteers provide 2 weeks of intensive photography classes to the children, with cameras included to make sure they learn practising. They are then assisted during outdoors photography workshops in the community, and have an exposition to display their own work.

Project Volunteer is a UK registered charity run by a committee of dedicated volunteers who offer their time to grow the vision and sustainability of our charity.
We work in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages International, a global federation of 116 national associations, to achieve a single vision – ensuring that every child grows with love, security and respect.
There is no monetary remuneration for our committee members, ensuring that all money raised through projects and fundraising activities goes directly to support the children.

Coexistence and Strengthening of Children’s Relations Service (children from 6 to 15 years old)
As in the suburbs of many cities, the population of the community of Vila Elza is continuously exposed to situations that restrict and/or leave them at risk. The biggest victims are children and teenagers, of whom the rights are violated and many of their basic needs are not met, leaving them exposed to situations of vulnerability to child labour, drug trafficking, weakening family and community ties, malnutrition, limited access to information.
Thinking about these situations we seek through the Moriá Humanistic Centre resources to reach and help these children to engage in activities that contribute to their complete social integration and a healthy development, including building their self-esteem and making them actually be part of the society.
To develop activities of coexistence and strengthening of bonds for the children of Vila Elza, Viamão, in order to stimulate the inclusion, social participation and the discovery of skills and competences contributing to the improvement of the quality of life through the percussion workshops, capoeira, dance and ludic-pedagogic activities, of gratuitous form and of continuous character, permanent and planned; In reverse shift to school, this service will take place at the Institution on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with breaks for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
